OMFG ! I love how i’m feeling right now, I just love it, i feel like a whole different person right now. I never felt so much love by strangers in my life <3 But theyre not strangers now, they’re my sisters. This program opened my eyes so much. Even though there was 140 students there. I felt like we all knew each other and we all knew each other for so long. I cannot explain this feeling I have. Every single person has their story at HYI & it touched my heart so deep. so so so so deep. My heart was feeling so warm throughout the whole program. i learned a lot. There was a lot of crying these past 3 days. everyone cried, the adults, the girls & even the boys. & every time a boy would stand up & say why were they’re here, they would just say whatever’s in their heart & let it all out and cry. which made me look like a baby b/c i was crying with them, well everyone was. everyone there at HYI is the same in a way. everyone went through so much struggle. & the only reason theyre not giving up is b/c they want to help their family & make theym proud when they graduate college. & thats what I love about that program. It motivates us to go to college and go as far as we can. “Si se puede, si se pudo !” even though everyone there knew spanish. I learned a little about myself & that even though i cant speak or understand spanish, Im still a Latina and I will make a difference in the Hispanic percentage that will graduate college. I am a proud Latina and I love every single person in that program !<33333 plus there were so many cute guys there lol. Especially one of the leaders, his name was carlos. omg ! but hes a senior at SCU, but he looks so young ;) BUT one thing i’ll never forget was this quotes this woman told me: “Dont worry about the cute guys in HS, because there are even cuter ones in college.” so im not gonna waste my time on HS boys, even though this one is cute. I need to worry about college & there will be cuter men in college for me ;D lmao. I will ALWAYS remember that quote. <3 HYI is the best Hispanic program ever!
